1. You may fill out the application online or on paper. Most institutions prefer the online format, but will accept either. If you are unsure of how to find an online application, you can google the name of the institution, or for schools in Michigan, you can go to http://www.macrao.org/ for links to all colleges in the state of Michigan.
2. Check to see if your application requires any additional paperwork. If a letter of recommendation is needed, be sure to contact the person you’ll ask to write your recommendation in plenty of time. Occasionally, a counselor page may be needed. To get this completed, print out a copy, bring it to the counseling office, and fill out an application request. Please note any deadlines on the request.
3. After you have completed your portion of the application, you may login to www.docufide.com to request an official transcript be sent to the institution to which you just applied. All official transcript requests (even mid year and final) will now go through this website. For more information on how to request transcripts, click here.
4. College visits can be a critical step in your decision process. If you plan to visit a particular institution, you may fill out a visit form (located in hallway outside of principal's office). If signed by a member of the institution, the absence will be considered a "school activity" and you will not be charged with an absence.
